The Department of Art at the University of Minnesota is pleased to announce the exhibition
MINNEAPOLIS-BERLIN: common ground

This exhibition features the works of students from Weissensee Academy of Art Berlin, Germany in collaboration with graduate students and recent MFAs from the Department of Art at the University of Minnesota. Artists in the exhibition met remotely to establish connections and find common ground across the Atlantic Ocean, with the limits of suitcase transportation and a seven hour time difference.

Originally shown in June 2026 at Kunstpunkt Gallery Berlin, the exhibition continues and strengthens the exchange between the two institutions that has been successfully maintained for years. This exhibition is funded by the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) and the Center for German and European Studies
